Peter Hallman Ball Yard

With year-round access to batting cages, locker rooms, the park and sports field, Peter Hallman Ball Yard is the perfect place to practice your swing and your catching skills. There are three fields at the ball yard and they are open to anyone, unless there is a registered game in progress. Kiwanis Park

Kiwanis Park is located on the banks of the Grand River and is always bustling with activities and exciting events for all to enjoy. The Grand River

The Grand River is a favourite destination for hikers, cyclists, campers, bird-watchers or those who just love nature. Rent canoes and enjoy two or eight-hour trips, soak in the sun out on the water and you can even expand your day with available camping spaces at eight of the Grand River’s 12 conservation areas. There are also plenty of group facilities available for rent if you’re thinking of hosting a summer gathering or family reunion. The Hamilton to Brantford Rail-Trail, SC Johnson Trail and Elora Cataract Trailway are just a few of the trails on which you can enjoy a relaxing stroll or exhilarating bike ride. Get your daily dose of fishing on the Grand River, which is considered a world-class recreational fishing destination. You can peruse the GRCA’s fishing brochure for additional questions or concerns. Make sure you obtain a hunting or fishing license by visiting the Ministry of Natural Resources website or calling their offices at (519) 826-4955. This conservation area is a 15-minute drive from the Newport Towers Apartments.
