The first golf course to visit this season is Rockway (625 Rockway Drive). This local favourite is located in the heart of Kitchener, just over a five-minute drive from Newport Towers (550 Strasburg Road). The course features 18 holes appropriate for all skill levels. The clubhouse offers food and drink, as well as a fully stocked store where you can buy any equipment or apparel you may need.

Doon Valley Golf Course

Doon Valley (500 Doon Valley) is a scenic course that runs along the beautiful Grand River. The course includes a championship 18-hole course and a classic nine-hole course, as well as a nine-hole pitch and putt and driving range. The on-site pro shop carries any equipment you may need, from golf balls to sunglasses. To get to this Kitchener course, drive ten minutes from Newport Towers.

Puslinch Lake

Looking for a new golf course to explore this summer? Try Puslinch Lake Golf Course, a 15-minute drive from Newport Towers. This 18-hole course has been operating since 1962. It features a tree-lined fairway and small greens to challenge players of all skill levels.

Upgrade your gear

Trade in old golf clubs at Cambridge Golf and Fashions (611 Hespeler Road). If you want to avoid the larger, chain golf stores, give this independent boutique a try. The store is in neighbouring Cambridge, a 15-minute drive from Newport Towers.

Upgrade your game

Improve your golf game this summer. Sign up for private lessons or adult group lessons at a local golf course. Schedule a trip to the Waterloo Golf Academy (Wilmot Line), a 15-minute drive from Newport Towers, to work on your game on the practice facility here.
